First Bank of Nigeria Limited says its newly upgraded online banking platform has a unique security interface that offers protection to customers’ funds, especially from online scammers.
The Head, Technology and Services, First Bank, Mr. Akin Fanimokun, stated this at the inauguration of FirstOnline, the bank’s newly upgraded online banking platform.
He pointed out that the enhanced version of the bank’s Internet banking service was envisaged as a landmark, meant to redefine the dynamics of Internet banking for its customers.
He said, “The new FirstOnline platform not only outclasses competition locally, it offers a unique security interface for customers to think less of unsolicited and fraudulent incursions from online scammers, through a secured transaction PIN authentication, which is unique to each customer.”
FirstOnline, he said, was compatible with personal computer, mobile phones, iPads and tablets, as well as other Internet-enabled electronic devices.
Also, the Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, First Bank, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, described FirstOnline as an enhanced, simple and efficient way of accessing affordable financial services through mobile electronic devices.
She said the bank had “significantly upgraded FirstOnline to maximise our customers’ Internet banking experience by making accessibility to banking services.”
