Halloween is a week away, and J.K. Rowling is gearing up for the occasion by saying she will release a new short story set in the “Harry Potter” universe on October 31. The story will follow former Hogwarts headmistress Dolores Umbridge, the uppity woman who tormented Harry during his fifth year at Hogwarts. The yarn will explore her backstory and will include Rowling’s own first-person take on the character. The short story will be posted to Pottermore.com for all to see when the time comes.
